Toxic dentistry…? 24 June 2018
So…. it’s been a while. Again. I’m not sure what my excuse is. Possibly because I am not sure how I feel at the moment. About anything. But particularly my health. I am still trying to be proactive and positive but I have lost a bit of momentum. So where are we with everything that I have tried so far…?
Let’s start with the FMT (Foecal Microbiota Transplantation). Two months down the line and no noticeable change either for the better or the worse with regard to my MS but my guts still haven’t settled and I have periods of feeling very bloated and unable to poo when I feel I want to, which is annoying. I can’t help feeling that the process might have been a waste of time which is sad. But who knows, there might be beneficial stuff going on that I don’t know about. Let’s go with that otherwise I get disheartened…
And the rhizolysis treatment on my back…? Definitely pointless. My back still hurts as much as it ever did. Saw the consultant on Friday and essentially I have 3 options: 1. Do nothing and try and live with/manage the pain. 2. See a pain consultant. He wasn’t able to give much information about how or what they can do to help so I am unconvinced about this option. 3. Have another MRI to look at my discs with the possibility of further, more invasive surgery. Not keen on this either. I have plumped for Option 1 for the time being. Pretty annoyed to be honest, as I have essentially paid £100 for 10 minutes of his time for a bit of shoulder shrugging and not massively useful advice on next steps. Not sure that I will be seeing that particular consultant again.
So what’s next….? Well, I have been to see the dentist I was recommended in Marlow. I don’t know how to describe her, really. She was a brilliant mix of factual medical professional combined with understanding and appreciation of some of the more alternative theories and therapies that most medical professionals would scoff at. She is a big believer in the whole toxic dentistry school of thought and the work of the German doctor R Voll and the connection between teeth and meridians and their relationship to different parts of the body. A little bit like feet and reflexology. All very interesting stuff. She also believes that root fillings are evil and should be removed as a matter of urgency. Luckily for me I have 2!! So they are coming out at the end of July. I actually cannot think of a treatment I would rather have less. I detest going to the dentist or having any work done on my teeth so you can imagine how thrilled I am. The teeth are next to each other on my top jaw so I am going to have a large gap. Until I can have implants put in which will be dependent on how my gums heal, but most of all, it will be dependent on money. Implants are not cheap so I will have to rock the ‘toothless crone’ look for a while. On the plus side…. despite being root filled and supposedly being ‘dead’ one of the offending teeth gives me quite a lot of gip and is very sensitive so it’ll be good for it to go!
