The Poo Diaries – FMT Day 2 – 4 April 2018

I had a terrible night’s sleep last night :(. Nothing to do with the FMT, I don’t think, just because of unfamiliar surroundings. I was expecting to sleep like the dead as I was so tired. That, combined with the fact that I wouldn’t have my very needy cat jumping on my face at 3am. Sadly it wasn’t to be. I am feeling ever so slightly battered and sore today.

At the clinic, before the second procedure, I reported that here had been no bowel movement this morning – not unusual apparently after ‘such a thorough colonic’ and a good sign as it means the bacteria have had plenty of time to make themselves at home.

So…. today’s treatment (and all the subsequent ones) was shorter, taking 45 -60 mins as it just involves the transplantation part. It’s amazing how quickly you become immune to the awkwardness of the situation… The only difference today is that my body obviously decided it didn’t take to this partcular donor as the transplantation was expelled pretty soon after the 30 minutes of lying down. It happens sometimes apparently and I did make it to the toilet, so not all bad….

I have been sent away with some ‘Symprove’ pro-biotic to take every morning. I also need to continue taking Oxy-Klenz for the duration….

Some hours later, my stomach area is making some very unusual noises and I am not inclined to move too far from the bathroom at this stage…

Later, we are hoping to go to Kazuko in Hitchin for Sushi :D. Every cloud and all that…. Fingers crossed my bottom behaves itself!
